Sierra works in oil, ink and watercolor to make visible the energy and spirit of nature. Trees, branches, rocks, mountains and rivers in her highly textured paintings lie in a borderland between the specific and the abstract. Post-Euclidean geometries are everywhere: in the veins of leaves and borders of stone: in abstractions which appear to be fractalized landscapes.They speak of the transient , interdependent and sometimes enrapturing nature of existence.
